    FANCY PACKS ARE BACK, baby

Whether you call it a fanny pack, belt bag, banana bag or anything else, you’ll find unique - almost always one of a kind - bags here! Handmade with love in every stitch.

  • A QUILT MAKER & RESCUER

Megan loves rescuing quilts from the thrift and giving them new life, but she also loves making baby quilts! Her first quilt worthy of being called a quilt (not this one) was made in December 2020! Her first “blanket” that looked like a quilt was made in the year of 2013, but it didn’t hold up long at all. Minky dot and 1/4” seam allowances don’t go well together.

She’s come a long way and truly loves making these little blankets for babies to enjoy outside time, wipe their noses and tears on, get messy and build forts.

BOLO for the random baby quilt or adult lap quilt that gets added to the site!

  • AN AVID THRIFTER

Megan is always on the hunt for textiles such as quilts, blankets, old sheets and pillowcases, placemats, fabric napkins and more - all to make unique products for you!

About the creator behind the products

Megan began sewing around 2012 when she wanted to make her son pants and little outfits. The hobby went back and forth over the years. She began selling handmade items here and there, mostly using upcycled materials like old quilts and sweatshirts and flannels, around 2020. With her family growing and getting older, Megan now has more time to focus on what she really loves to do for herself - sewing!

The name “Dainty Mae” came to life from a nickname of Megan’s one and only daughter. Nicknamed at birth, “Dainty girl” loves to sit and watch her mama sew and she’s always interested in what comes off the sewing table at the end of a project. Dainty always asks “can I have that?! It’s so cute!” The hope is one day we both will be a part of this sewing small business, but if not that’s okay, too.

There’s always a new idea brewing, so check back often! We can’t wait to hear what items you love.

Also remember, this is a small business run by one person. Above all, Megan is a mother and wife. Spending your hard earned money here means the world and you are so appreciated when you support this small business.

Hours of operation will vary and shipping times can take up to 10 business days. Be patient and enjoy the process of slow fashion!
